SCOTT FISHER won the Milnsbridge Classic and picked up £840 in the process.

The Moldgreen bowler toppled Longwood’s Paul Ingleby 21-7 in the final.

Fisher bowled consistently accurately throughout an excellent day of competition and he maintained that form in the final, forcing Ingleby to strike at almost every end.

On the occasions Ingleby connected, nothing went his way and Fisher was able to run out a comfortable and worthy winner. He collected £800 for the win plus £40 for having the highest break.

Club vice-president Steve Mallinson, who was assisted in the presentations by his wife Julie, thanked everyone for their efforts in making the event a success, especially organiser Mark Sykes.

The winner congratulated the Milnsbridge membership on their efforts in raising £1,000 of the £3,000 prize pot and organiser Sykes, who assembled a quality field of 128 bowlers.
