MELTHAM BC begin the defence of their Colne Valley Floodlight League title next week.

The League, which starts on Wednesday and runs through to Tuesday, October 4, includes two new teams in Newsome WMC and Lindley BC.

Section I – Longwood BC, Thorpe Green , Milnsbridge BC, Meltham BC and Slaithwaite CBC.

Section II – Marsh Utd, Milnsbridge Lib, Golcar Lib, Crosland Moor and Lockwood Con.

Section III – Slaithwaite CBC B, Newsome WMC, Lowerhouses, Hemplow BC, Lindley BC and Lindley Lib.

Section IV – HRUFC BC, Broad Oak BC, Milnsbridge Lib B, Lindley BC B, Hemplow BC B and Longwood BC B.

Field for the Paddock I&C Floodlight Competition third round (start 6.30, drawn on the night): H Abbott and J Dyson, E Johnson and G McMahon, B and P Toon, P Abbott and I Crowther, L Hirst and R Spencer, J Best and J McPhillips, J Davies and L Boustead, J Roper and N Haigh.

The final of the Huddersfield Ladies Nunns Trophy wil be held at Meltham on Sunday (11.00).

All matches will be on the big green and it’s Cowcliffe B v Marsh Lib A and Jackson Bridge v Linthwaite CBC B.

The Sanderson Cup final is at Thorpe Green on Sunday, September 11 (11.00) when it’s Marsh Utd A v Mirfield CBC and Lockwood Con A v New Mill B. Dress code applies.
