Dill Harvey of Meltham has become the new Yorkshire Ladies Handicap champion.

She beat county bowler Dawn Bray (Ossett Flying Horse) 21-7 in the final at Hove Edge Bowling Club.

Dill (below) played well throughout the day, adapting well to the weather conditions (which went from sunshine to cold rain) and bowling a wide range of marks.

She adds this title to the Huddersfield Ladies Merit which she won just a couple of weeks ago.

Bowling from a handicap of four, Dill beat three other county players - Lynda Drury (New Mill) to 16, Chloe Hirst (Halifax) to nine and Alexis Lunn-Gadd (Ossett Flying Horse) to 19 – before defeating teammate Marie Nicholson (Meltham) to eight in the semi-finals.
