LINDLEY Lib A are going for a sixth Mallinson Cup title in a row in the Huddersfield Liberal Bowling League.
While the top section doesn’t get under way until Monday, April 22, the Section B teams are in action this coming Monday (6.30).
Almondbury Lib B have a bye, but the other Section B fixtures are Lindley Lib B v Kirkheaton CBC B, Golcar Lib B v Cowcliffe Lib B (7.00), Marsden Lib B v Crosland Moor, Kirkheaton CBC A v Meltham Lib B, Linthwaite CBC B v Primrose Hill Lib.
Hill Crest BC are inviting entries for their Grosvenors Butchers sponsored Open Pairs competition.
The event starts on Saturday July 20 at 6.30, with qualifying rounds every Saturday until Sept 7.

Qualifying for the West Riding Cup gets under way tomorrow (6.30) when Cleckheaton Moor WMC play Clayton Victoria at Spen Vic (bottom green).
Further qualifying is on Saturday (2.30).

The Huddersfield Veterans League starts next week.
They have a new president in Alan Stephenson and new vice-president in Barry Nicholl. The other officials remain the same.
All clubs able to play their games next week should do so. Any re-arrangements should be within 28 days and Mags Emerson should be notified.
