YORKSHIRE'S away team manager, Keith Hatzer, wants to gain revenge on Shropshire when the teams clash in the opening match of the Endsleigh Senior County Championship at Meltham on Sunday (2.00).

Shropshire pipped Yorkshire by three points to make the final of last year's Supplementary Cup, which they won with victory against Warwick and Worcester.

"I'm so excited, the adrenaline's really pumping, because, on paper, we have one of the strongest sides out for a long time," said Hatzer.

Changes have been made to both home and away teams, with Netherton's Paul Sigsworth switched to captain the away team at Pontesbury, while Graeme Wilson, Robert Hitchen and Mick Robinson - with more than 300 caps - have moved to the home team.

"It was like losing the experience of Charlton, Best and Law, from the Manchester United midfield," Hatzer added, "but we've brought in the experience of Sigsworth, Chris Mordue, Peter Jagger and Roy Nicholson, so we have to be confident."

Home team manager Graham Hirst praised the quality of the Meltham green and is confident his side can produce the goods.

He said: "This is the biggest game in our group but we have to fancy our chances here at Meltham."
