Ladies Works League Merit bowling final at Marsh United - Last year's winner Linda Gledhill and competitors

Julie Best, of Stuart Best Plumbing & Heating, won the Huddersfield Ladies Works League Merit.

In the final she beat fellow county player Linda Gledhill (Atkinson’s Butchers) 21-18 at Marsh United BC.

A total of 25 players took part in the event, which was again keenly contested.

Semi-finals: Linda Gledhill 21 Anne Hinchliffe (Stuart Best Plumbing & Heating) 16, Julie Best 21 Katie Atkinson (Stuart Best Plumbing & Heating) 15.

Final: Julie Best 21 Linda Gledhill 18.
