HUDDERSFIELD Junior Bowling League fixtures have been suspended on Saturday as a mark of respect to Dennis Bradley, who has died.

League secretary Geoff Martin paid tribute.

He said: “Dennis will always be fondly remembered by the Huddersfield Juniors and his energy and enthusiasm towards the junior cause will not be forgotten.

“His commitment to Brockholes BC is legendary, and the work and dedication he put into the bowling fraternity in Huddersfield was exceptional.”

He added: “The success of the Huddersfield junior bowling association was built on great committee people like Dennis.

“He will be a hard act to follow, but his example of gentlemanly conduct, passionate about doing things the right way, are testament to a great character and person.

“He will be missed, but his example will live on.”
