Yorkshire Ladies Crown Green Bowling team suffered a disappointing defeat by 10 points in the semi-finals of the County Championship.
They lost 442-432 to Shropshire, with the home team at Lockwood Con winning by six points while the away team, bowling at Newport, were defeated by just 16 points.
There were very close games on both teams, but it just wasn’t to be for the White Rose.
Yorkshire Ladies now go forward to the final of the runners-up competition, the Waterloo Cup, at Blackpool Waterloo on Saturday September 21.
