TYRONE NURSE has his eighth professional boxing bout in Shaw, near Oldham, on Spring Bank Sunday, May 24.

And the Huddersfield lightweight’s trainer Chris Aston says he’ll have to be ready for a battle if he’s to maintain his 100% record.

The 19-year-old will be up against Ibrar Riyaz, who has proved a real handful since moving up from featherweight.

Beaten in his first four outings, Reading fighter Riyaz has since recorded wins over Kevin Maxwell and Gavin Prunty.

And Aston warned: “Trying to make the lower weight was clearly sapping him, and Riyaz has looked far more dangerous of late.

“He’s a stocky, aggressive type who likes to mix it, and this might not be one for the purists.

“Tyrone might have to use brawn as much as brain, but he’s capable of doing that when needed, and as a bout, I predict it will be a crowd-pleaser.”

Tickets are £20 and there’s a coach running from the Foresters at Crosland Moor.
