SHEPLEY youngster Leon Gledhill dominated group two at the Premier Division Track league at Manchester Velodrome.

Gledhill (Planet X) won three out of four races on the night taking victory in the 50 lap Points, the Devil and the 10 Mile Scratch race.

In the first division there were some great performances from the local riders in Group 3.

Holme Valley Wheeler’s Lee Brown had two wins in the Devil and 1km Scratch race, while Ivan Boyes (Huddersfield Star Wheelers) and former Kirklees Cycling Academy rider Josh Cutler (RST Racing Team-Trigon) were also in the places, with Boyes best result second in the 20-lap points race and Cutler was second in the 1km Scratch.

Boyes and Brown have been promoted to Group 4 for tomorrow’s meeting.

Harry Hardcastle (Kirklees Cycling Academy) won the nine lap Youth Handicap Points race at the ACT Track League ahead of former clubmate Tyras Waterman (Wakefield Tri).
