Denby Dale teenager Jack Price aims to score well at the double world trials championship event at Andon, France this weekend.

The Road and Trials sponsored Gas Gas rider is ranked third in the FIM World Cup series.

That class is the stepping stone to to the top world trials championship class.

His British rivals are Welsh champion Iwan Roberts and Newcastle Scorpa rider Billy Bolt.

Bolt won last Saturday’s Superstars trial at Silsden, while Price missed the rostrum by a mere four penalties.

The favourite for top results in France will be championship leader Carles De Caudemberg Quentin riding on his home soil.

The title chase then heads for Andorra and then two days in America.

That is one huge stumbling block for the youth Brits who are faced with £2,500 worth of flight and accommodation, and the little matter of getting a trials machine over the Atlantic.

There have been collections by clubs to fund the British contingent and those appeals are still running.
