FOUR Huddersfield players represented Yorkshire in Ireland’s biggest youth Gaelic football festival.

Daniel Koulouris, Michael Cornelly, George King and Toby King of the Brothers Pearse club were in the Under 14 squad which travelled to County Kildare for the annual Feile Na Nog.

And the white-rose side impressed, beating hosts Grangenolvin by three goals and 12 points to three points and Nurney by 1-6 to 0-3.

They came unstuck against a strong South London side, who beat Yorkshire 4-7 to 0-0 to progress from the group into the semi-finals, where they lost out to eventual section winners James Stephens, from Kilkenny.

More than 3,000 youngsters take part in the Feile Na Nog, which is run by the Gaelic Athletics Association and sponsored by Coca-Cola.

The Huddersfield primary schools Gaelic football tournament takes place at All Saints Catholic High this Saturday (12.00 start).
