OUTLANE’S Peter Boakes was the man in form at Longley Park when he took the Division I honours in the latest meeting of the Huddersfield Wednesday Golf Society.
Fifteen-handicapper Boakes scored 32 points to beat Meltham’s Philip Walton, the Halifax, Huddersfield Union president, by one point.
Meltham’s Chris Naylor was the Division II winner when he came back with 35 points, one ahead of Marsden’s Alan Harper.
A total of 30 members took part in the Society’s Longley Park tournament. They now move on to Bradley Park on Wednesday, May 6.
