HOLDER Jonathan Binns is one of the early starters in the Halifax, Huddersfield Golf Alliance’s Page Trophy, at West End on Thursday.

The Dewsbury man is out at 7.24am in the fourth three-ball, accompanied by Longley Park’s Adam Walker and Fixby’s Jonny Heyes.

The Page Trophy is the highlight of the Alliance calendar and is played over 36 holes.

Just ahead of Binns in the morning will be Meltham’s Ian Saxton, who lifted the trophy a couple of years ago at Crosland Heath.

Dewsbury have one of the biggest entries in the competition with 10, only beaten by Bradley Park who have 14 entries.
