Huddersfield's Ladies’ B Team have once again qualified for the YLCGA finals.

The finals will be held on September 12 at Mid-Yorkshire, where they will play Richmond in the morning semi-finals.

The other two teams to reach the B team finals are Hainsworth Park and Shipley.

Their Ladies’ Scratch Team clubmates narrowly missed out on qualifying for the finals at Hallowes Golf Club on Thursday, September 5.

They finished joint fourth with Shipley on nine points, but lost out on the number of individual wins.

The semi-finalists are Hallamshire (leading qualifiers), Malton, Ganton and Shipley. Woodsome Hall Ladies’ Scratch Team finished on six points, and after a tough draw against top sides, Crosland Heath were relegated to Division II, along with Bedale, Hull, Moortown and Garforth.

Woodsome Hall were the best of the local ladies’ A teams, finishing 19th with nine points, with Lightcliffe and Huddersfield Fixby A team a further point behind.

Outlane, Huddersfield, Meltham and Cleckheaton all had seven points – Wath were the winners with 11 points.

Lightcliffe ladies’ team are thrilled to have won the Garforth Ladies Centenary Team nett trophy.

Some 30 teams of four competed for the best gross and handicap trophies, with the home team taking the best gross trophy.

The Lightcliffe team, comprising Hannah Holden, Georgia Holden, Sarah Wickens and Carolyn Whitwam, won the best nett with a score of 313, with Hannah Holden taking the runners-up spot for the best gross, with a score of 77.
