Huddersfield’s Nick Marsh has been named in England’s six-man squad for next month’s European team championships.

The tournament will be held at Halmstad Golf Club in Sweden starting on July 7.

Last year, the England men’s team won the bronze medal, having taken the gold in 2013.

Marsh has been competing for the Brabazon Trophy and made the cut after rounds of 75 and 69.

His first round score left him in equal 23rd but his second round score moved him up into a share of ninth place.

In the third and final round Marsh had an unhappier time and his six over round of 78 dropped him to a tie in 50th place.
