MIRFIELD Driving Range professional Robert Kershaw shot one-under-par 71 to tie third in the inaugural North Region PGA Frontline Golf Property Winter Series at De Vere Mottram Hall.
Phil Archer, on a break from the European Tour after his best-ever season, fired 69 to share the spoils with Sandiway assistant Gareth Jones.
Archer, 35, who scored the half-point that ensured Great Britain and Ireland beat the Continent of Europe in the Seve Trophy last month, was in the driving seat until he bogeyed three of the last five holes.
Jones drew level with him with a birdie on the final green as the pair finished two shots ahead of the field.
