Meltham Tigers once again came out on top in their annual ‘grudge match’ against the Rabbits.

In splendid weather, 100 golfers played and raised £250 for the Captain’s charitites from their entry money.

The Rabbits have dominated over the years, but this time they knew they would have to put up a strong showing to try and regain the trophy.

With the course in excellent conditions, they gave it their best shot but ended up losing 17-8.

Honourable mention went to Mr Rabbit-Vice, Tommy Anderson, for his fancy dress effort, really getting into the spirit of what the day was all about.

Simon Race, head professional, read out the results to the eager competitors – with the Tigers delighted to win.
