With one round of matches to go, it’s still all to play for in the Lawrence Batley Seniors’ League.

Three of the four sections are still to be decided, with only Section D having been decided – Low Laithes are winners with an impressive 80 points.

In Section A Hebden Bridge and South Leeds each need to win away at Crosland Heath and Blackley respectively by a minimum of 6-2.

Should both achieve that goal the section winner will be the team with the larger margin of victory.

Should the victory margins be equal Hebden Bridge will prevail by virtue of their superior away points total.

Should neither team achieve the away win required, West End will be section winners.

In Section B four teams can still win, although the advantage lies with Marsden and Huddersfield, who both have home fixtures against the other two contenders Branshaw and Wortley respectively.

Should both win, the team with the greater winning margin will prevail.

If the margin is the same, Huddersfield will win due to their superior away points total.

Blackley and Wortley both need to win to give either of them a chance, although Wortley do have a strong away points position.

In Section C the winners will probably be whichever of Bradley Hall or Oldham achieve the better result, away at Ryburn and home to Woodsome Hall, respectively. It is mathematically possible for Woodsome Hall to win should they beat Oldham 8-0 and Bradley Hall lose to Ryburn by the same score.
