HUDDERSFIELD started out attacking strongly in the North League Division II South East clash.

They could have taken the lead when a short corner was deflected off the keeper onto a defender and the Dragons were awarded a flick, but it was saved by the Donny keeper.

Huddersfield did not let the setback deter them, however, and after they had a short corner saved, Louise Crossland scored from the rebound.

Doncaster equalised before the break and then took the lead with 10 minutes of a tight contest remaining.

Dragons refused to let their heads drop and the dying seconds they won a short corner and Jane Inman launched a straight strike into the net.

Northallerton I 2

NORTHALLERTON are vying for promotion and came expecting an easy ride, but had a rude awakening as Dragons took the lead after 10 minutes from a super strike by Becky Pinder.

Northallerton hit back to level, and then got their heads in front just before the interval when a shot was initially saved by Nicola Tod, only for the ball to creep in.

Dragons pressed on in the second half and with a few minutes left, Hannah James scored a goal to put Dragons level.

In the last minute of the match Maisy Carr smuggled the ball over the line to give Dragons the win.
