Denby Dale trials star Jack Price kicks off his World Championship campaign in Japan at the weeknd.

The meeting is the first of nine in the championship calendar and Price will be assisted by Tony Kaye who will be maintaining the Gas Gas machine.

Kaye, principal of Darton based Road and Trials who supplies and maintains the Gas Gas machines ridden by Price, said: “We know that Jack Price is talented.

“He will continue to climb right up the results with more experience”.

The teenager warmed up for hisinternational date in the third and fourth rounds of the RT Keedwell Group ACU British Trials Championship.

Price finished in 12th place riding his Road nd Trials J.S.T 300cc Gas Gas machine in the third round – earning him four championship points.

In round four on the Lustleigh trials course Price picked up his form and took sixth place and 10 championship points – his total score after the first four rounds is 31 points.

Price also scored well at the Hoo Wood and Whitley meeting and his next National Championship trial is in South Wales on May 18.
