“WHEN I was growing up I was watching 500GPs and Superbikes, so I was heavily into racers like Mick Doohan and Carl Fogarty.

“Watching those guys was great and that’s who I looked up to growing up.

“But then I found myself on the grid with the likes of Troy Corser and Max Biaggi, Marco Melandri – all massively talented riders.

“So to get the chance to race against them was awesome.

“There is a massive list of riders who I look up to but in general I try to take the good points and try to do my own thing.”
