“WHEN it comes to the various circuits if the Ninja ZX-10R is going well – and it was quite consistent in 2012 at every racetrack – then for me it doesn’t matter.

“I enjoy riding every track and every turn, but obviously there are a couple that have stood out in the past.

“Donington Park, simply because I grew up in the BSB series and that was my favourite circuit, but there are also places like Brno in the Czech Republic and modern Nürburgring in Germany.

“The Nürburgring for me was always a rider’s circuit and one that gave me my first World Superbike win.

“But if I were to pick a least favourite, I think Phillip Island has never been our strongest point, but we managed to finish third and fourth last year – so we are working on it.

“And there is maybe one circuit, Misano, which has proved a little bit trickier for us than others in the past.”
