IT'S is the moment Daniel Lloyd will remember for the rest of his life.

Huddersfield’s former karting ace has moved up to car racing for the first time this season – and he’s now had his first victories.

The 16-year-old Huddersfield Grammar School student won both rounds of the Ginetta Junior Championship at Croft this weekend, strengthening his challenge for the overall title as he is now in third place behind leader Dino Zamparelli and Thomas Carnaby.

Lloyd, from Scammonden, won from second on the grid on Saturday and followed up with another victory from his first-ever pole position the following day.

The Ginetta Junior Championship now takes a six-week break from action.

Rounds 13 and 14 will take place at the Snetterton Circuit in Norfolk on July 12 and 13.

Next on the agenda for Lloyd? His GCSE examinations!
