TEENAGER Marcus Tatchell is making his mark on two wheels.

The 15-year-old, from Clayton West, has just won his first race onboard his Aprilia RS 125 in the Auto 66 Club F125, at Elvington, York.

Marcus, who only recently acquired a full race licence, having not been old enough to race at track days, is keen to join the Superbike ranks of Tom Sykes and Tom Tunstall in the future.

His family, Tatchell Racing, forms Marcus’s team and dad Steve has been a member of the Auto 66 Club since 1992, racing Honda 400s and 600s until recently when he has decided to step back and support his son.

Marcus has been riding off-road since the age of five on motocross and quad bikes and got a real taste for racing during the summer holidays last year when he trained at Ron Haslam’s race school at Donington.

Marcus, whose first win came in round four of the 12-round series, is supported by clothingteam.com and engagegear, of Lockwood.
