HUDDERSFIELD Falcon riders enjoyed a strong showing in the Jack Leslie Ellis Memorial Trial at Winksley.

The Ripon Motor Club had hastily rerouted the entire trials course for the Yorkshire Centre Championship event and the championship route saw the Falcon’s Ben Robinson produce an impressive run.

Ian Haigh and William Wood excelled in the Clubman B class as they took second and third, respectively, in what was a tight result as Colne contender Darren Mitchell held off the two Falcon riders.

Huddersfield’s Andrew Jackson rode in the Clubman A class where the skill factor was high right through the ranks, and Ripon holiday park owner Glen Scholey rode his 30-year-old Yamaha machine to victory over Sedgefield motorcycle dealer Eddie Aitken.
