Robert Read of Lindley WMC A scored the week’s highest break in the Huddersfield Snooker League with a 50.

Read followed that up with a remarkable 41 on his way to victory over Pat Daw of Primrose Hill Liberals which helped Lindley to a 3-1 win.

Neil Armstrong of Kirkburton Lib A made a 32, as did Trevor Liversedge of Golcar Con B who also made a respectable 29 in the same match.

Lockwood Con B player Ryan Driver made a break of 30 while Glen Wilkinson of Meltham Lib E recorded a 28.

Meanwhile, Rashid Tunnacliffe of Hillhouse & Birkby D and Luke O’Brien of Berry Brow Lib B scored breaks of 26.

Glen Wilkinson’s team mate, John Bastow, rounded of the week’s highest breaks with a solid 25.

In the Billiards, Brian Cousen of Lindley Lib recorded the highest break with a 68 and followed that up with a 32 on his way to beating Chris Kelly of Meltham Lib in a match won 2-1 by Lindley.

Tony O’Hara also notched up a break of 38 in his win over David Peaker of Brockholes BC to help Marsh Lib A to a 2-1 victory.

Jack Ellis-Pownall of Mletham Lib A made a 36 break, while Upper Hopton B’s David Firth made a 34 break in his win over Roger Singleton of Milnsbridge Liberals.

John Ingleby of Moldgreen Liberal Club made breaks of 31 and 26 in his victory over Upper Hopton A’s Denis Rourke.

Frank Griffin of Morldgreen Liberals and Roy Head of Upper Hopton A rounded off the Billiard’s highest breaks with 25 and 27 respectively.
