SHEPLEY athlete Emily Tinsley is aiming to be selected for the Northern Athletics Championships.
The 13-year-old was picked to represent Kirklees in the Under 15 high jump and collected two medals in the West Yorkshire Schools Athletics Championships.
A year 8 pupil, Tinsley came second with a jump of one metre 51cms, to set a new personal best.
Tinsley, who trains at Sheffield’s English Institute of Sport four times a week, is looking to compete in both the pole vault and high jump.
