THONGSBRIDGE and Batley are neck-and-neck in the Babolat Huddersfield & District Tennis League.

Five weeks into the new season, they remain unbeaten in the Men’s Division I.

The two teams will meet at Thongsbridge on Tuesday (6.30) in what promises to be a cracking encounter – and something must give.

In the Men’s Division II, Cleackheaton A lead the way, six points clear of Huddersfield B.

Mirfield A and Denby Dale A head Division III with 100% records, while in Division IV, Holmfirth A are the only team with a 5/5 record.

Men’s Division V and VI are headed by Linthwaite Methodist A and Gregory Fields C respectively.

In Ladies Division I, the champions of the last two seasons, Huddersfield A, remain unbeaten, followed by Holmfirth A and Thongsbridge A.

Meanwhile, Thongsbridge teams also lead the Ladies Divisions II, III and V, with Thornhill in equal first place in Division V.

Cleckheaton and Huddersfield D are joint top of Division IV.
