Huddersfield fighter Tyrone Nurse is aiming to prove a big point to the boxing public tonight.

He goes into a rematch with Welshman Chris Jenkins for the Vacant British Super-Lightweight title bidding to win a Lonsdale Belt for the first time.

When the pair fought in Manchester last summer, many observers felt Nurse was the winner, but the official result was a draw.

That will inspire Nurse to go one better tonight at Manchester Arena, on the Sky TV bill featuring the WBA World Lightweight Championship bout between Anthony Crolla and Darleys Perez.

Nurse’s trainer Chris Aston says the build-up has gone well – he’s been sparring with Sam O’Maison – and believes if his charge performs to his best it will be good enough to bring the belt back to Huddersfield.
