LINDLEY SWIFTS will look to book their place in the final of the Andrew Bennett Memorial Trophy tomorrow with victory over Bank Top Harriers.

Although the Swifts are in Pennine League Division III and the Harriers ply their trade in Division II, Lindley have won far more games this season and that could give them the slight edge in what is expected to be a tight battle.

That clash is one of a number involving Huddersfield clubs this weekend.

They also include a big game for St Joseph’s at home to Premier Division leaders Sharlston Rovers and a big Second Division derby between Moldgreen and Newsome Panthers.

Newsome’s second string are also involved in a derby in Division VI as they travel to Slaithwaite A, while St Joseph’s A are at Farnley Falcons, and in Division V Meltham All Blacks visit Stainland Stags.

But the big amateur game in the town in the next couple of days is, of course, the Holliday Cup final on Easter Monday at Lockwood Park (11.00) between Slaithwaite Saracens and Emley Moor. A full preview will appear in tomorrow’s Examiner.
