NEWSOME Panthers A are the Pennine League Division VI champions.
They celebrated their title success after a 23-12 midweek triumph at Illingworth.
There was little to separate then sides early on.
But in the final quarter, the champions turned on the power to claim victory in style.
Tries were scored by captain Martin Robinson, Marcus Kenchington, Nick Corion and Alex Chatterton, with Ross Studholme landing three goals and a drop goal.
It was an excellent way to round off a great season, and a fitting reward for the tremendous coaching efforts of Alan Boothroyd and Phil North.
But the celebrations may not be ending there for Panthers, whose first team could next week clinch promotion to Division I.
