Slaithwaite Saracens look to get their season back on track this weekend after back to back defeats in the Pennine League Championship.

And what better way to do it than making a short trip to your rivals directly one place below in the table in the shape of Dewsbury Moor.

A much needed win will give the Saracens some distance between themselves and the bottom three teams.

Championship One high flyers Newsome Panthers are facing a tough test away Morley Borough. Despite their lowly league position of eighth, Morley provided a massive upset last time out beating leaders Illingworth 28-14 - only their second loss of the campaign.

Third placed Panthers won at home to Lindley Swifts last week and will see this as an opportunity to close the gap at the top.

The fixtures just get tougher for Swifts as this time round they face second placed local rivals Brighouse Rangers. Swifts will take solace in the fact they were only beaten 16-9 in last weeks derby at Newsome.

Huddersfield’s other Pennine League team in action is Division Four side Emley Moor.

Emley secured a fantastic 40-32 victory at home to West Bowling A last week and they travel to Eastmoor Dragons A this time around. The Dragons endured a disappointing draw at strugglers Thornhill Trojans but narrowly beat Emley on March 1 so will be confident of another win at home.
