Four Huddersfield clubs are ready to go in search of Holliday Cup glory this weekend.

It’s semi-final time tomorrow, with two eagerly-anticipated last-four clashes on the cards.

Up at The Cross, Underbank Rangers and Lindley Swifts will go head-to-head for the second time in a week.

First blood went to Lindley, who secured a hard-fought 16-12 home Pennine League First Division triumph over Rangers last weekend, so revenge will be very much on Underbank’s minds when they line up again tomorrow.

At the same time, Newsome Panthers will be looking to make the most of their home advantage when they host St Joseph’s.

Like the Underbank-Lindley encounter, it’s a tie that’s very tough to call, with the Panthers currently third in Division III West and St Joseph’s third bottom in Division I, and Newsome being at home makes it a potentially even tighter contest.

There’s also one important Huddersfield Pennine League fixture this weekend as Meltham All Blacks look to maintain their Division IV West promotion challenge with a win at mid-table King Cross Park A.
