TRIUMPHANT Borough of Kirklees have successfully defended their National Junior Speedo Inter-League title.
The victorious swim squad beat off tough competition from across the country, including hosts City of Liverpool.
The Scousers finished second behind BoK, with Lincoln, Ipswich, Barnet Copthall, Newcastle, Ruislip Northwood and Nottingham trailing in their wake.
Although Kirklees had only two individual wins, the club's strength-in-depth shone through, with nine team triumphs, including a new meet record by the girls' nine years 100m freestylers.
A further nine second places from individual events guaranteed BoK a solid win in the end.
BoK's individual winners were George Flesher in the nine years 25m breaststroke and Alicia Holdsworth in the 12 years 50m backstroke.
Alicia's time of 32.63 seconds was a new club record time, as was Georgie Irving's when finishing second in the 12 years 50m breaststroke.
