THREE Huddersfield clubs could be lining up in the semi-finals of the Andrew Bennett Memorial Trophy – if weekend results go the right way.

There will definitely be one of the town’s teams in the last four, with Pennine League Third Division title-chasers Slaithwaite Saracens hosting joint Second Division leaders Emley Moor in what should be a cracking contest.

And the winners could be joined in the semi-finals by Newsome Panthers, who are battling with Moor for the Division II top spot, and Lindley Swifts, currently involved in a title scrap of their own with Slaithwaite.

The Panthers face a tough trip to fellow Second Division title-chasers Wyke, while the Swifts visit Division II mid-table team Westgate Redoubt.

On the League front, Moldgreen should secure a seventh Division I victory of the season when they host struggling Greetland All Rounders at the DRAM Centre.

Underbank Rangers are another side who should be very confident of success when they entertain Brighouse A in Division IV, and Meltham All Blacks shouldn’t rule out success at mid-table Stainland Stags.

Premier Division St Joseph’s have weekend off, but their second string entertain Wyke A in Division VI.
