Meltham All Blacks are ready to play a Pennine League Division IV West fixture which is already being billed as a potential title decider.

In an eagerly-awaited top-of-the-table clash, the second-placed All Blacks host leaders Illingworth.

Meltham have won three of their opening four fixtures, while Illingworth have won four from five.

But the home side know that to match the Halifax club’s strong start to the campaign could prove decisive in the bid to finish the season as champions.

The upbeat All Blacks will obviously be hoping to attract a bumper crowd, particularly as it’s the only amateur RL game being played in Huddersfield this weekend, with Lindley Swifts, St Joseph’s, Emley Moor and Newsome Panthers all on their travels.

In Division I, second-bottom Joe’s travel to leaders Boothtown Terriers, while bottom club Lindley (although that’s largely because Cup commitments mean they‘ve played just two League games so far) travel to Ossett Trinity Tigers.

And in Division III West, mid-table Newsome are at leaders Clayton and third-bottom Emley make the trip to third-top Higginshaw.
