Meltham All Blacks produced the result of the day to secure a victory that underlined their Pennine League Division VI credentials.

Leaders Victoria Rangers A were unbeaten in their opening five fixtures.

But they were no match for the in-form third-placed All Blacks, who were full value for their 20-10 home triumph in which tries from prop Ryan White (2), substitute Nathan Richardson and man-of-the-match centre Andy Farrell, who also added two goals, made all the difference.

St Joseph’s were another to celebrate a good win, beating Allerton Bywater 20-16 in Championship I.

Victory was secured thanks to tries from Shaun Mitchell, Richard Aka and Sam Cummins, and four goals from Sam Hendrick.

Unfortunately, there was a significant defeat for Underbank Rangers, who suffered their first Division II defeat of the season in losing 29-0 at leaders CK Vikings. A win for second-placed Bank would have taken them to the top.

Rangers did cross the line twice only to be denied by the referee, while there were notable performances from man-of-the-match Stephen Berry, Chris Longley, Tom Booth and Dom Horn.
