LEADERS Emley Moor bounced back from last week’s disappointing defeat to Wyke to secure a big 68-18 Division II triumph over Rotherham Roosters.

It was a contest the home side dominated from start to finish, with new signing Michael Lang making an immediate impact.

The former Deighton Junior was making his debut at stand-off following his release from Bradford Bulls Academy and marked the occasion with a well-taken and deserved second-half try.

By that stage, Moor were well out of sight, having opened up a 40-12 interval advantage after producing some excellent attacking skills.

The Southwell brothers, Jason and Daz, led the way with two tries each, while Dave Pawson also crossed twice and Mick Hanmer and Andy Tillotson – back at the club following his spell at National League I club Dewsbury Rams – added others.

Hanmer was also on target with four goals.

In the second half, Pawson, right, doubled his tally of tries to four, Jason Southwell completed his hat trick and Lang and Hanmer completed the rout, with Tillotson landing four more goals.
