NEWSOME Panthers Under 14s are through to the Yorkshire Cup semi-final.

They beat holders West Hull 26-24 to set up a last-four clash at home to Myton Warriors.

England international Scott Farnsworth led the way with a hat trick, with other tries coming from Curtis Todd and Darren Lamb, with James Usher adding the goals.

Credit must also go to Eliot McGuire, Luke Nelmes, Tom Eidson and Kieron Sill who all defended well.

The Under 8s celebrated a 40-28 triumph at Halifax.

Conah Joseph and Connah Preston scored their first tries of the season, with Preston also adding a conversion.

Also on the scoresheet were man-of-the-match Jasper McGuire, with four, Dominic Lamb and Louis Lawrence. McGuire and Lawrence also converted.

Coaches' award went to Josh Smith.

The Under 9s celebrated a 50-46 victory over West Bowling.

Panthers scorers were Eddie Graham, Izaac Farrell and man-of-the-match Rob Denton with two each and Josh Clay, Freddie McGuire and Ashley Armitage with one each.

Goals came from Clay, Ryan Dunbar, Joshua Stephens, Josh Edwards, Max Netherwood, Armitage and Denton.

The Under 11s lost 42-6 to Queens Knights.

Sole tryscorer was Joe Clayton with the man-of-the-match going to Callum Parkinson.

A disappointing display ended with the Under 12s losing 16-0 at Illingworth.

Man-of-the-match was Jordan Higo and the top grafter was Joe Gillespie who was also joint top tackler.

Fortunately, it wa a different story for the Under 13s as they beat Keighley 30-0.

Ben Warrilow, Jamahl Hunte (2), Lewis Bellas, Will Smith and Conor Barker scored tries, with Mike Cameron converting three goals. Will Smith was named the man-of-the-match for his powerful running, while Patrick Oakes was top tackler.

The Under 15s beat beat West Bowling 49-0, making it three consecutive matches they have kept their opposition pointless.

Man-of-the-match Sam Harding led the way with a hat trick of tries, Jayden Wood added two and top grafter John Waite, Omar Ali, Mathew Graham, Joe Haywood and Liam Carter also scored.

Joe Haywood and Daniel Mullarkey convered, with Mullarkey also on target with a drop goal.

But the Under 16s are out of the Yorkshire Cup, losing 18-26 at home to East Leeds.

Alex Chatterton, Rhys Dutton and Phil Stanislaus scored tries, goaled by Matty Garside.

Man-of-the-match was Josh Cuttell.

The Under 10s beat Greetland 32-12 thanks to tries from top tackler Matteo Zaffino, Sam Gledhill (2), Samual Gillespie and Matthew Coates.

Man-of-the-match was Harry Redfearn.
