Rikki Sheriffe signs for Halifax RL

HALIFAX have re-signed former Super League winger Rikki Sheriffe.

HALIFAX have re-signed former Super League winger Rikki Sheriffe.

The 28-year-old returns to The Shay after a spell in rugby union with Newcastle Falcons.

Before that he played in top-flight rugby league with Bradford and Harlequins, and Fax are delighted to have secured his services.

“Rikki is a proven rugby winger and we are delighted he’s chosen to join Fax again,” said Halifax football director Ian Croad.

“He will give us more options in our back line and obviously brings lots of Super League experience with him.”

Added Sheriffe: “Halifax is one of those clubs at which players are happy, and one they don’t really want to leave, so it’s great I’m able to come back.

“I’m looking forward to working with Karl Harrison and to be part of what looks to be a really strong team in 2013.”

Sheriffe is part of a rugby family, along with his brothers Jode and Jessjo, both of whom also played for Halifax but are now at Keighley.
