HUDDERSFIELD Giants' Junior Academy side are setting their sights on making a winning start to their campaign under new coach Chris Plume tomorrow.
The club's Under 18s team play their opening grading fixture against Bradford Bulls at Huddersfield YMCA's Laund Hill complex (2.30).
It will obviously be a tough task, given the Bulls' strength .
But with many of this Giants side having already held their own against top-flight opposition in the Senior Academy grading games for Under 21s, hopes are high that the outcome will be positive.
"The lads have been training exceptionally hard and have been waiting for this day to arrive for some time," said Giants football manager Stuart Sheard.
"And with many of them having already had a taste of action at Senior Academy level and done well, they will be feeling confident going into this match.
"It is certainly shaping up to be a very interesting first game."
Of particular note will be the return to the Huddersfield side of fit-again half-back Lee Simpson.
He has hardly played over the last six months after undergoing ankle surgery and is returning against his former club.
