THE new secondary sponsors of Huddersfield Giants are backing the club to continue their climb up the Super League ladder.

Meltham-based Disposables UK Group have signed up to become the club's collar sponsor in another big deal for the Giants.

It's a major step up for the company, who last season were one of the businesses involved in the club's main sponsor lottery draw.

But Disposables UK managing director Trevor Storer believes the time is right to be playing a larger role.

"Although we missed out on the main sponsor prizes last year, we were still given matchday tickets which were definitely put to good use," said Mr Storer, whose company manufactures 45 tonnes of tissue products a day.

"We had a fantastic time with the Giants and to see them beat teams likes Leeds, Wigan and St Helens was a massive thrill.

"After that, we decided it was time we gave something more back to the club.

"We already support Oldham Athletic, because that's my hometown, and the time seemed right to support the Giants.

"A lot of the lads who work for us follow the club, and with such a wonderful man as Ken Davy as chairman I was delighted to help.

"Everything about the club feels so positive right now, and if the entertainment is half as good as it was last year we'll be happy.

"But from what I can see there's no reason why it can't be even better."
