WIGAN'S former Great Britain second-row forward Mick Cassidy will miss Sunday's Tetley's Super League match at Huddersfield after being handed a one-match ban.

The 30-year-old second-rower, who was placed on report for striking Wakefield Trinity Wildcats' captain Gareth Ellis in last Friday's Challenge Cup quarter-final, was found guilty by a Rugby Football League disciplinary committee.

Cassidy, who was making his comeback from a six-month lay-off with a shoulder injury, was handed a one-match suspension and fined £300.

Wigan will also be without front-row forward Danny Sculthorpe, who has one match still to serve of a two-match ban.

But the Warriors were boosted against Wakefield by the return of fit-again captain Andy Farrell, who will play on Sunday.
