GIANTS coach Jon Sharp believes the `old-boy' factor could prove Leigh's most effective weapon in Sunday's Super League clash at the Galpharm.

Up to six former Huddersfield players could be in the Centurions' 17-man squad.

Leigh skipper Darren Fleary, Ben Cooper, Richard Marshall, Paul Rowley, Matt Sturm and Oliver Wilkes are all in contention to play.

And Sharp knows they will arrive in town with a point to prove.

"Because Leigh are fighting for their lives at the foot of the Super League table they're bound to be a pumped-up side and full of aggression," said Sharp.

"But on top of that, we've got the Huddersfield old boys factor.

"For starters, we know Darren Fleary will come out breathing and spitting fire, or whatever else he'll be spitting!

"I've got a lot of respect for Darren and I know he'll be looking to inspire his troops.

"But there could be five other former Giants players in the Leigh side this weekend, so there's sure to be a lot of emotion.

"Leigh certainly won't be lacking motivation.

"However, at the end of the day, what's the most important factor is us.

"After last week at Salford it's vital we bounce back with a quality display to get everything back on track.

"The sole priority has been to concentrate on getting things right, not worry about the opposition."
