BUOYANT Eorl Crabtree has revealed he wants to be a Giants player for life!

The 26-year-old prop heads into Saturday’s massive home Super League clash against champions Leeds Rhinos (6.00) with second-placed Huddersfield looking for an eighth win from 10 starts.

The fit-again Crabtree has been a major factor and is now hitting top form.

With his hometown club soaring, he admits he’d love to stay at the Galpharm for the rest of his career.

“I’ve never felt happier at the club, and I think that’s a view shared by a lot of people here,” said the former England prop.

“At the moment, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else, simply because of the way things are going and the extent to which I’m enjoying myself.

“Maybe a few years ago, I wouldn’t have said that. But in the last year or so the team has really come together and just got better and better.

“The mood is really good in the camp and confidence is higher than it has ever been. We are now going into every game believing we can win.”

While the Giants have been sweeping all before them, Leeds have lost their last three games, including Monday’s shock 30-20 home defeat to the struggling Salford City Reds.

But Crabtree knows his side can take nothing for granted.

“Leeds are obviously a champion side, and we know only our very best will be good enough,” added Crabtree.

“We’re playing really well at the moment and this may look like being a good time to play them.

“But the fact they’re coming off the back of a few defeats, which is something that doesn’t happen with Leeds very often, will make them more determined to beat us and get back on track.

“It’s all set up for what should be a fantastic game.”
