BRAD DREW’S return to action in today’s reserve team clash against Castleford at Huddersfield YMCA (2.00) is the major Giants highlight.

But Drew’s first appearance in the claret and gold since recovering from knee surgery following his return from Wakefield isn’t the only source of interest.

Also included in coach Paul Cook’s side are Larne Patrick and Graeme Horne, who have been Giants’ Super League regulars this season, while Adam Walker starts at prop after making his senior debut at Salford on Monday.

Partnering Drew at half-back will be Gregg McNally, who this week is back at Huddersfield following his spell at Whitehaven as part of his dual registration deal.

Other Super League squad men in action this afternoon are Elliot Hodgson, Greg Johnson, Keal Carlile, Jamie Cording and Jacob Fairbank as the Giants look to secure their second win of the season.

Giants: E Hodgson; Johnson, Worthington, Harrop, Akidaire; McNally, Drew; Walker, Carlile, Patrick, Cording, Horne, Fairbank. Subs: Orwell, I Brown, Milburn, Davies.

Huddersfield’s Under 18s Academy side were beaten 52-30 at Castleford Tigers in their opening game of the season.
