Bradford Bulls pair Lee Gaskell and Dale Ferguson could be on Huddersfield Giants’ radar for next season.

Both 25-year-old half back or centre Gaskell and 28-year-old forward Ferguson, who played 59 games for the Giants between 2011 and 2013, are free to talk to other clubs about a move for 2017 as their Bulls contracts come to an end.

While the Giants made no comment on the speculation, their Championship neighbours Bradford could be set for plenty of activity on the transfer front since the arrival of new coach Rohan Smith.

The son of former Bulls boss Brian Smith said: “We will be looking for players who are going to improve us right across the board.”

Bulls pair half back Danny Addy and prop Mitch Clark are reportedly heading to join Super League outfit Hull KR next season, while speculation suggests Scottish international Ferguson and St Helens product Gaskell are also on the move.

However, Steve Ferres, Bradford Bulls’ managing director and former Huddersfield coach, believes the club can keep their senior players at the club and said: “We’ve got to prove that our aims are their aims.”
