NEW Giants marketing chief James Brammer is a man on a mission.

The 27-year-old arrived in Huddersfield yesterday and has immediately began the process of increasing crowds at the Galpharm.

The Giants have made very steady progress on the Super League attendance front over the past few years.

Last season, the average was just short of 6,000.

But having spent seven years at Bradford Bulls, Brammer is determined to see crowds eventually matching those at Odsal.

The recreation management degree graduate knows that won't be achieved overnight.

Yet that won't stop him giving it his best shot.

"The role of a marketing manager is varied, but the ultimate aim is to get more people watching," he said.

"Huddersfield have laid a firm foundation and I aim to build on it.

"That process got under way as soon as I officially arrived at the club yesterday.

"I've already met a number of key contacts, and I'm looking forward to meeting many more.

"I include the fans in this, of course.

"I'm keen to hear what they have to say and any ideas they may have to help raise the profile of the Giants and increase its support. My door is always open.

"I'm bringing with me some tried and tested marketing schemes from the Bulls.

"But the more ideas I get, the better."
