Former Huddersfield Giants player Brett Ferres could return to face his former club after being included in Leeds Rhinos’ 19-man squad for Friday’s Super League clash at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Both England international Ferres and Rhinos’ skipper Danny McGuire have been named in Leeds head coach Brian McDermott’s squad to face the Giants – but Carl Ablett and Beau Falloon are both ruled out.

Full-back Zak Hardaker will need to pass the necessary head concussion protocol to be declared fit for Friday’s game, while Josh Walters is also back fit after missing the last three rounds.

Anthony Mullally is set to face his former club.

Giants head coach Paul Anderson has made two changes to his squad.
